Chicago Modern Orchestra: Dream, Live and Hope

The Chicago Modern Orchestra Project will present a special concert to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Sunday, January 27, at 3 p.m. in the Martin Recital Hall. 

"Dream, Live and Hope: The Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King" will feature guest artists Chicago Community Chorus directed by Dr. Keith Hampton, and the Steward Wilson Gospel Singers. 

The performance will feature selections from ”Awakening: A Jazz Messiah” as well as a special tribute to Dr. Paul Freeman, founder of the Chicago Sinfonietta. 

Program: 
Tillis – Spiritual Fantasy 
Baker – Subtle Hues of Blackbirds Symphonic Poem 
Ono – Wood Piece 
Perkinson – Walking All Over God’s City 
Batiz – Weep Dark Blue
