Recipe Box Café: "Delightful Mediterranean"

The Recipe Box Café menu for February 21 highlights delights from  Mediterranean cuisine.

Appetizer: Strawberry-pecan salad with baby spinach and poppy seed balsamic dressing 

Main Course: Handmade potato gnocchi with pancetta, tomatoes and watercress 

Dessert: Chocolate and coffee tart with raspberry coulis and fresh mint 

To make a reservation, email recipeboxcafe@dom.edu or call (708) 488-5285. If a reservation is made and not cancelled prior to seating, the future reservations will be cancelled until re-confirmed by the patron. A limited number of walk-in seats may be available but are not guaranteed.  

The Recipe Box Atrium Café features healthy menus planned, prepared, and served by nutrition science students in the Quantity Food Production and Service course (NUTR 407). This course integrates each student’s nutrition, management, purchasing, organizational and food knowledge skills. 

Angela Douge, MPH, RD, LDN, serves as faculty. A professional chef aids in the production.  

Recipes and photos for the dishes served each week are posted to the DU Recipes Board on Dominican's Pinterest page.​
